CARING FOR YOUR PIECES
Ferunas pieces have an anti-tarnish protective film that is also chromate-free to keep your pieces bright, shiny and untarnished for longer.
We also exclusively use eco jewelry boxes with anti-tarnish properties. Therefore, after each wearing or even when travelling, we recommend to keep them stored in our jewelry boxes for protection and avoidance of scratches.
GENERAL TIPS FOR ALL YOUR JEWELRY
In general, the oxygen in the air and the oils from our skin can accelerate the tarnishing process.
No need to worry as you can always easily clean your pieces. Use a special silver or gold cloth to gently polish your jewelry. Please don’t use tissues or paper towels as they could scratch their surface.
Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off when dressing so it doesn't come into contact with beauty products or perfume.
Jewelry (especially gold plated pieces) should be removed when using any product that contains bleach (i.e. swimming), ammonia, perfume, alcohol and fingernail polish removers that contain acetone as that might cause jewelry to corrode and reduce or remove the layer of gold.
We recommend not to wear gold plated items in water. Showering with gold plated jewelry or immersing the item under water for long periods of time can cause the gold layer to completely wear off.
